In November 2010, Jeffrey W. Johnson, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, founded the Johnson Law Group. Today, the five attorneys, together with their full staff of legal assistants and paralegals, continue to provide excellent legal representation, customer service, and responsiveness to its clients’ needs and demands. Johnson Law Group is a full service, civil defense law firm that provides legal counsel to self-insured companies, individuals, as well as insurance carriers and industry members. Our attorneys have over 140 years of combined trial experience throughout the State of Florida. In addition to evaluating, litigating and resolving personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, construction defects and transportation actions, we have substantial experience with first and third party claims, as well as bad faith litigation. We routinely provide counsel for our clients from pre-suit evaluation and mediation through a jury verdict. Our Principal and Founder, Jeffrey W. Johnson, is the prior President of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association. With approximately 1000 members, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA) is one of the largest state bar organizations in the United States. The FDLA’s mission is to enhance the knowledge, skills and professionalism of defense lawyers, while fostering balance in the civil courts through judicial and legislative advocacy. Mr. Johnson is also a Board of Director member of the International Amusement and Leisure Defense Association (IALDA). With selected membership across the country, IALDA provides counsel and representation to the amusement and leisure industry. He is also an active member of Council of Litigation Management (CLM), Defense Research Institute (DRI), Transportation Industry Defense Association (TIDA), National Restaurant and Retail Defense Association (NRRDA), and the local bar associations.Our law firm serves as trial counsel to many large and specialty insurance carriers. We also represent several self-insureds on a statewide basis. In addition to tort, product and construction related claims, property and first-party claims are efficiently, effectively and promptly handled by our experienced attorneys.
